As a young child I always wanted to be a farmer. I loved animals and have always been surrounded by everything from millipedes to donkeys. 4-H was a big part of my learning years and was especially good at teaching me managment skills.
I became aware of my writing abilities as a 7th grader. Throughout school I put to use my talents writing for school literary newspapers and even won a few contests. I put my writing aside in college and earned both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Agricultural Education. While in college I was instrumental in developing the Purdue Pasture Management Webpage and also the Purdue Forage Field Guide. No matter what job I have had teaching, crop consultant, or conservationist I have always been drawn back to writing and am hoping to combine it with my love of agriculture.
In 2000 I married Jeremy. He began farming fulltime the summer of 2003. I help drive tractors, run for parts, and scout crops for the farm. I enjoy spending time with my family and being outdoors. I am an avid reader of many subjects.
