When 19 Above Sounds Like a Heat Wave!
Yesterday it was 19 above (Fahrenheit) so we strapped on snowshoes, and cross country skis and spent an hour traipsing around the fields. The snow had a nice crust and I hope to get out again soon! Jeremy opted for his snowmobile. The kids and Jack enjoy climbing on the ever-growing snow piles around the yard. Poor Henry doesn’t get to go out much but loves it when he does.
We have an eagle that occasionally stops for a break in one of our trees. I am learning to use my new camera better and attempted to use my bigger lens. We see a few deer, and coyote tracks, but few other wildlife. The ones that do venture close keep Jack busy “protecting” us.
I am slowly deciding what to attempt to plant the garden and may try some seed starting. I keep eyeing hoop houses and wonder about building one here. As we go through our stockpile of frozen meats, I wonder about adding livestock to the hay operation. So many directions we could take the farm. We also hope to explore more of our local attractions and do some camping this summer.
We have had news of several friends with medical issues both near and far. Each one has blessed us with the positive examples they are for us during their times of adversity! They are never far from our thoughts as we pray for them daily.
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
